If it does, residents east of I-680 might finally catch a small break from the record-breaking temperatures they’ve dealt with for several days now. Some of the breeze could potentially make it into the delta later this afternoon. For now, look for temperatures between 85 and 90 degrees. If it manages to make it ashore before 2 p.m., then Oakland and Alameda may finally see a break in their hot temperatures. But the North American weather model (NAM) is signaling a modest return of the bay breeze. East Bay: Record-breaking temperatures are once again on tap for Oakland and residents in communities along the I-880 corridor, including Alameda.South of Novato, the bulk of the sea breeze will just miss Tiburon and San Rafael, meaning temperatures will climb into the upper 80s and low 90s again this afternoon. But the good news is the North American weather model (NAM) hints that the sea breeze has a good chance to make it into the Napa, Sonoma and Petaluma valleys around the middle of the day. North Bay: Another day of extreme heat and hazy skies as elevated smoke from wildfires across the state slowly moves over some of the highlands this afternoon. Some of this breeze will also roll into the redwoods and other state parks in San Mateo County, keeping them in the mid-80s, but the coolest air will remain confined to the coast and nearby valleys.
